New GEAR!! and the future of our company
Hello everyone! First of all, thanks for following us. We have a ton of new developments in the Blue Room. As you can see, we purchased some Yamaha NS-10s for the room as well as our first piece to our drum set - a New Beat hi hat. The NS-10s are almost an industry standard for mixing amongst most major recording studios. These will provide us a better near-field reference monitor. Plus, many mix engineers prefer to mix on these speakers because of their extremely flat "color-less " response. The New Beats are the most recorded hihats of all time. I started with the hihat to incorporate live hat in a lot of my productions. The New Beats have a great tone. The hat will also be the first piece to our drum set that we will be building custom alongside other major upgrades. Also, we have started the launch of the official production team in the Blue Room = Music Life productions. Music Life will consist of me as a producer and James Kang will be signing on as an engineer. Music Life as an entity is devoted to preserving the organic creative process of music and composing timeless music. We will be looking to sign artists and writers. Music Life will be a focus of the blue room along side everything else we do. We are aspiring to make the Blue Room Recording a modern day Motown-esq environment. We want not only to be a high quality place to record in Atlanta, but to be the go to studio for production in the city as well. We are devoted to helping cultivate and work with the best talent.
"Music is your own experience, your thoughts, your wisdom. If you don't live it, it won't come out of you.." - Charlie Parker

Bobby Valentino in the Blue Room Working
We used a laptop webcam so the quality isn't the best. We are considering getting a really nice webcam for artists that want to stream sessions live. This was a creative session that Bobby booked working on a song for his new album. Unfortunately, it is too dark to see the studio but hopefully you all can feel the vibe! James Kang engineering.

What's new? April 2010
Hi everyone,
We are currently settled in our new room and keep finding ways to upgrade it every day. We've added the xbox 360 with NBA 2k 10 and FIFA Soccer 2010. Our Xbox also has an HDMI cable so you can enjoy playing it on our HD 1080p lcd! We've are also fully stocked with some drinks and snacks in the room. Beyond all the entertainment, we went through and upgraded all the wiring previously in the building. We are now running top of the line Mogami quad cables through the room and the building. Our black lion interface is only being used for now as a sufficient power source. We are bypassing its analogue stages via our Mytek Converter and super clock while only using inputs 5-8 for live recordings. Our vocal chain keeps getting better. Stay tuned for a virtual walk through of the studio shot in HD quality too! Thanks for working with us!

The API luncbox is here!!
Check out our newest gear addition: The API lunchbox. This is a picture from inside the writing room (Lunchbox running through the Black Lion Audio modded 002). The API lunchbox is a portable unit with a dedicated power source that allows us to mix and match different mic pres, compressors, and eq's for different tonal colors on recordings. We started off with a few API 512c's. The 512c is a classic design especially impressive on bass guitar and drums.
