New Major Upgrades to The Blue Room!!

Hi everyone, I just wanted to keep you all posted on the MAJOR upgrades that are taking place in the Blue Room!! To start off, I just ordered 32 new panels of Auralex (a high end acoustical foam) and Rel, James, and I will be taking a day over Thanksgiving to acoustically touch up the room and vocal booth! Also, our most major upgrade will be the Black Lion Audio Signature Series modification to the protools rack. This mod will completely replace stock protools converters, clock, pre amps, and power source! This modification will have our protools rig sounding like a high end mastering suite and even better we you will be recording at a higher quality than a protools 192 HD interface!! Your vocals will be much cleaner and you will get a more realistic tone out of the 1272 mic pre. Especially - better definition on the highs and less mud on the lows! This upgrade alone will make our room unique and put us on par or better with many of the bigger rooms in town. Also, as I am typing, I am installing the protools toolkit. This kit upgrades our track count to 64 tracks mono or stereo as well as adds multiple new plug ins including the Smack plug in (a $400 mastering/compression plug in). On top of that, I am installing the mellowmuse plug in in order to correct any unwanted latency in any of our plug ins! Last but not lease, many of you have noticed that we have started using dual monitors for faster and more convenient editing! Thanks for following and please check back for nonstop upgrades.

New Sub Woofer in the studio!!

We have a new gear addition to the blue room = a samson 10 inch sub. This sub was tested and compared by me personally and great for a clean low end response! We are also now running split screen monitors in the room. This makes it more convenient for engineers to separate the mix and edit window easily in protools. We will be starting to post blogs updating you on our services, studio upgrades, progress, and new deals! We are a group of music producers, engineers, and songwriters offering a unique unmatched recording experience in Atlanta Ga. We have designed an environment that caters to those looking to experience an all inclusive recording experience from recording to production to songwriting to engineering. We are located in a smaller more intimate sized room with a great vibe! Our room is inside of one of Atlanta's premier recording facility so you will experience the same secure, professional, and well maintained environment. Our focus is to maximize the quality of your recording experience by utilizing technology, musicality, and industry experience. We focus more on the modern practicality of recording. Now a days, when you go into a big studio and record vocals your vocal signal is running from a good condenser mic to a good pre/compressor and converter to protools. We focus on achieving that same signal path to create the most practical high quality experience. We cut out huge digital consoles and analogue out board gear and invest in digital software - cutting edge plug ins etc. to make it possible for us to offer an affordable rate without compromising sound quality. We also have great access to rentals, in house musicians and producers, and songwriters.
